With over a decade of experience in the assisted living industry, James created AgeWell Connections with one clear mission: to be a true advocate for seniors and their families, helping them navigate the often overwhelming process of finding the right resources, from housing options to assisted living care and beyond.
James’s vision for AgeWell Connections stems from his deep love for helping others and his commitment to making a meaningful impact in both his local community and on a global scale. As a father of three, James understands the importance of family and is driven by a personal desire to serve and uplift others, ensuring that every individual receives the care and support they deserve.
Born and raised in Idaho Falls, James is deeply rooted in his community, constantly seeking ways to serve through outreach opportunities and volunteer efforts. When he’s not working, you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors with his family, camping, or riding his Harley Davidson. James’s dedication to service, both personally and professionally, fuels his desire to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families, ensuring that they have access to the best care and resources available.

Tyler Drewes
Co-Founder
Meet Tyler Drewes, Co-Founder of AgeWell Connections, a passionate leader dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors. With extensive leadership experience in Senior Living and as a Licensed Residential Care Facility Administrator, Tyler’s deep commitment to improving the quality of life for older adults is the cornerstone of his work.
Born and raised in Idaho Falls, Tyler brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable local connections to the senior care industry. As a local entrepreneur and father of two, he understands the importance of community and family, which fuels his drive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors.
When he’s not working, Tyler enjoys the great outdoors and prioritizes health and fitness, reflecting his belief in the value of an active, fulfilling life at any age.
Mike Beckstead
Managing Partner
Mike Beckstead is a seasoned and respected veteran in the local healthcare community. With his commitment to the senior population in Eastern Idaho. Mike has propelled Visiting Angels to become the largest private home care agency in Eastern Idaho and ranked in the top 100 agencies in the nation. He has spent the last 8 1/2 years as President of Visiting Angels, at which time he and his partner sold the business. He has accomplished this with a highest level of honesty, integrity, and love for providing extraordinary care to both employees and seniors in our community.
Prior to Visiting Angels, Mr. Beckstead helped establish and directed the presence of Home Helpers in Idaho Falls, an in-home personal care service company. Mike also served as Community Relations Director for Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Community. Mike’s career began as a sales executive for 22 years with companies including AT&T, Ecolab Inc., Gem State Paper & Supply and Hanson’s Janitorial.
Mike is very active in numerous community service activities including board member of the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern Idaho, founder of Cause for Paws, the Great Race for Education, the Chamber of Commerce as well as volunteering for the City of Refuge and the Soup Kitchen. Mike has resided with his family in Idaho Falls for 30 years. With LaNae, Mike’s wife (and better half) of 34 years, they have raised 3 daughters including a set of fraternal twins. They now enjoy 2 rambunctious grand boys that keep them busy fishing and camping.
